The Story of Stuff - Video

The Story of Stuff is an argumentative or polemical animated documentary about the life-cycle of material goods.
The documentary is being used in elementary schools, arts programs, and post-graduate economics classes as well as places of worship and corporate sustainability trainings. By February 2009, it had been seen in 228 countries and territories. According to the hosting site as of September 2009, it already had more than 7 million views.
The video was created by Annie Leonard, a former Greenpeace employee and an independent lecturer who paints a picture of how American habits result in forests being felled, mountaintops being destroyed, water being polluted and people and animals being poisoned. Ms. Leonard, describes herself as an
“unapologetic activist,”
