JCRW HELPS TO SEND A YOUNG MAN

From Grant’s Pass to Washington, D.C.

We received an e-mail from a 6th grade student at South Middle School in Grant’s Pass. His name is Nickalus Heinze. Nickalus had visited our web site and asked if we could help him go to Washington D.C.  He had been accepted to participate in the People to People World Leadership Forum in Washington D.C.

The objective of the program is to develop leadership skills among America’s youth while exploring defining moments in American History. People to People is an organization founded by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956. Some of the other programs under the People to People umbrella is Project Hope and Sister Cities. JCRW has sent People to People $230.00 towards his tuition.

"If the people fail to vote, a government will be developed
which is not their government. The whole system of
American Government rests on the ballot box. Unless
citizens perform their duties there, such a system of
government is doomed to failure."
Calvin Coolidge, 30th President of the USA.
